GRAVES: Time for new perspectives

| November 4, 2011 10:00 PM

I am writing as an advocate of Adam Graves for city council. I have known Ron Edinger for 30 some years and have enjoyed him as a friend of my family. I have no major dispute with Ron. He has done his job as a city council member well. He has continually encouraged us all to harken back to the ideals that have made Cd'A great. He has moved forward cautiously. Most times, I have understood his position in concept though, not always, in ideology.

His hesitancy concerning the library confused me and concerned me. But his hard stance against McEuen has convinced me that his time as a representative of the people of Cd'A needs to come to an end.

He has served us all well. I've always felt like I could talk with Ron and will count him as a significant player in the history of Cd'A.

Adam represents a changing demographic in Cd'A. There are a multitude of young, forward thinking, ambitious people that have put down deep roots here. We need them to have their say and do their part. I believe that Adam will do just that.
