BRUNING: Listens to will of people

| November 4, 2011 10:00 PM

I have had the honor of knowing and working with John Bruning for the past 25 years. I first met as a member of the City of Coeur d'Alene Planning Commission. John was the Chairman, and for nine years I had the honor of working at his side. John carefully studied the issues, listened to hours of testimony and cautiously made decisions - knowing in his heart that he was fairly representing our great community. John listens. In the position of Planning Commissioner or City Councilman it's not only the public testimony - it's the phone calls, the emails, the letters and the citizens stopping you on the streets and in the stores. John listened and acknowledged them all.

I now sit with John on the St. Vincent de Paul Board of Directors where he is President. Stop by the Help Center to catch just a small glimpse of what he has done for our community. John spends countless hours reaching out to aid and assist the people in distress and need. This man cares about our entire community and its citizens.

There's always been the "vocal minority." They represent themselves as representing our entire community. John has always patiently listened and weighed each and every thing that they said before making any decision.

John's first four years as a City Councilman have brought me much pride. As always, he studies, listens, and carefully weighs all information prior to making a decision. I support John Bruning for reelection to the Coeur d'Alene City Council. There is no one better for the job. Please mark your ballot for John Bruning. It's the best thing that you can do for our wonderful city.
