Jan. 19, 1933 - May 10, 2011

Born to Marvin and Hattie and his siblings, Dorothy, Glenn, Otis and Loretta. He went to school in Harrison and enlisted in the Navy at 17 serving for eight years on the USS Iowa and USS Eisenhower. While stationed in California, he met and married his wife Claudette and was blessed with his first child, Lorna.

In 1957, he reenlisted in the U.S. Air Force and married his second wife, Donna Jo. They were blessed with two sons, Kenny and Jody in Coeur d'Alene. He was stationed in Korea and Okinawa.

He came home to Harrison and married his third wife, Patricia. They were blessed with two daughters, Michelle and Tracy. They had several businesses in town during the '70s. He relocated to Red Bluff, Calif., where his brother Glenn and his wife Gerry resided with their family Glenn Jr., Kevin and Pam.

Over the years he worked as a long-haul truck driver and as a bartender at his favorite watering hole "Tips." All the while he worked with his brother Glenn at Pipers Building Supply.

He married his fourth wife, Pat and extended his family to include Vicki, Jerry and James Roy.

His last request was for his ashes to be spread during a private gathering at a secluded ranch in the mountains in Northern California where he found a kinship with the land that he loved and a fellowship with the people there. He will be missed.

Please direct any memorial gifts to the Harrison Idaho VFW, where he was a proud member until he passed.
