Single-wide trailer damaged in fire: No one was injured in a Saturday morning fire that damaged a single-wide trailer on Smith Lane, near East Mullan Avenue.

Kootenai County Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze at 10:49 a.m., according to KCFR Public Information Officer Shaena Dunn. Twenty-two firefighters reached the scene and doused the fire in about seven minutes.

The trailer sustained interior damage, Dunn said.

Investigators determined the fire was caused by a range-top stove.

Bart Smith, the trailer's owner, lives next door to where the trailer was parked, Dunn said. Smith had reportedly shown the trailer to a potential renter Saturday morning.

The renter left the trailer, returned later and discovered it was on fire, Dunn said.

Four engines, one rescue truck and an ambulance responded to the call.
