McEUEN: Press wasn't objective

| May 29, 2011 10:00 PM

It was interesting reading our local newspapers' versions of the McEuen Field makeover meeting held on Tuesday, May 24. Kudos to the Spokesman's Northwest section as it reported the proceedings much more objectively than The Press. Reading The Press, it appeared that the overall mood of the meeting was against the makeover, when in reality, at least half of the respondents were in favor of the proposal.

Also, The Press quoted councilman Ron Edinger's opposition to the proposal without mentioning opinions of other council members who favored the proposal such as Woody McEvers, whom the Spokesman quoted. I would like to thank the City Council for approving the makeover foreseeing the future needs of the public and the downtown area.
