SMOKING: NIC, allow e-cigarettes

| May 27, 2011 10:00 PM

In the May 24 Press, NIC is going to halt tobacco products on campus. Good, but in the products listed are e-cigarettes.

"The goal," Dinico said, "is to provide other, healthier options to tobacco users. ASNIC will begin offering a cessation program in September."

If I am correct e-cigarettes follow this guideline. It can be used tobacco free, so why is it listed as forbidden? They might want to reconsider this. I know people who have used e-cigs to cut down and quit tobacco and smoking.
