WORLEY - A Plummer man was hospitalized Sunday after a head-on collision on Highway 95, according to Idaho State Police.
Erling D. Place, 77, was northbound at milepost 400, south of Worley, at 2:28 p.m. when his 2010 Subaru Legacy was struck head-on by a southbound 2006 Subaru Outback, police said.
Felix R. Cox, 52, of St. Maries, the driver of the Outback, had driven left of center on a right-hand curve when he struck Place's vehicle, police said.
Place was injured in the crash and transported to Kootenai Medical Center, where he was treated and released, according to hospital staff.
Cox was not injured in the crash, police said. Passengers in the Outback - Dillon R. Imbring-Cox, 15, and Katlin A. Legan, 18, both of St. Maries - were not injured.
Cox was cited for inattentive driving, police said. Alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
