Don't miss 'Goodnight Venus' tonight

One of the region’s hottest new bands will perform tonight at Mik-N-Mac’s, 406 N. 4th St.

Goodnight Venus, headed by Coeur d’Alene’s Darin Schaffer, will be

playing all original songs. Goodnight Venus also features former Black Happy drummer Scott Jessick and bassist Tony Farris.

Schaffer describes the sounds of Goodnight Venus as “loud and soft, rough and smooth.” Composer and pianist Brian Crain refers to the group this way: “Jane’s Addiction meets ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’”

Flying Mammals from Spokane will also perform tonight.

Doors open at 8 p.m., and admission is $5.
