Beth Adelle Jean Swindle (Coy), 63
Beth Adelle Jean Swindle (Coy), 63, unexpectedly went into the arms of the Lord on May 9, 2011, in her home. She was born Sept. 25, 1947, in Spokane to Catherine Elgene and Robert Coy.
Beth was raised in Spokane with her brother, Michael Grant, and graduated from Rogers High School in 1965. She attended Crestline Nazarene Church throughout the years. She married Doug Swindle in 1966 and had one son and two daughters. They later divorced in 1989. She was a huge animal lover and always surrounded herself with her beloved cats. She had a special place in her heart for stray animals. Although her income was limited, she donated her last pennies to several animal rescue groups. The special bond that Beth had with animals will allow her spirit to live on as their guardian angel.
Her hobbies included sewing, drawing, painting and collections of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. She loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed camping with her children and grandchildren. Those who knew Beth loved her for her kindness, thoughtfulness and giving nature. She was a free spirit and young at heart.
She is survived by her mother, Elgene and husband Wes Keinholz of Spokane; brother Mike and wife Roberta Coy of Cheney; daughter Genie and husband Carl Riegert of Post Falls; grandchildren Natasha, Justin, Cody and Tristan; great-grandchild Kaidyn; son Doug Swindle of Coeur d'Alene; grandchildren Gabrielle, Terrence, Hailey and Trinity; daughter Michelle Base of Spirit Lake; grandchildren Breanna and Nathan.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Francis Coy; grandparents Earl and Addie Featherkile; and her father, Robert Coy.
In honor of Beth, family members have requested all donations to be submitted to Kootenai Humane Society, P.O. Box 1005, Hayden, ID 83835. Please state "In Memory of Beth Swindle."
