POWERS: So much to like

I first worked with Stephanie Powers when she became a member of the Hayden Lake Elementary PTO. She was instrumental in making sure the PTO had operating procedures; especially ensuring money raised by students and their families was properly accounted for. She listened to staff and parents and helped guide PTO expenditures for needed and appropriate educational materials and activities. Stephanie was selected to represent HLE on the district's Attendance Zone Committee. Her processing skills, ability to communicate and innate intelligence led her to be elected chair of this committee. She helped the committee establish rules of procedure and focus on the goal to a successful conclusion.

I observed Stephanie gain a unique "education" background when she worked with the University of Idaho and Albertson Foundation where she was exposed to and involved with many of our nation's most innovative and successful education leaders. She took this knowledge and with her skills assisted many schools in implementing new and effective ways of helping students achieve at higher levels.

Stephanie is an ethical person. She understands accountability to her constituents. She will lead when needed, listen to all sides, read all necessary material and make tough decisions for the betterment of ALL students while keeping the district fiscally responsible. A vote for Stephanie Powers will help promote an efficient, focused, safe and secure school district for students and staff to continue their path toward excellence.
