SANDPOINT - A Bonner County jury convicted an Athol man Wednesday of three counts of lewd and lascivious conduct.

Curtis Edward Jackson did not appear to react as the deputy clerk read the guilty verdicts in 1st District Court. He looked straight ahead, eyes blinking.

The jury of eight women and four men reached the verdicts after more than six hours of deliberations, which began on Tuesday afternoon.

Jackson, 48, is scheduled to be sentenced on June 21. He was ordered to submit to a presentence investigation, a psychosexual evaluation and a full-disclosure polygraph exam in the meantime.

Jackson remains free on $20,000 bail, although Prosecutor Louis Marshall is moving to increase that sum tenfold in light of the jury's guilty verdicts.
