LIDS: East Side facts

As a property owner and commissioner of the East Side Highway District, I would like to correct a statement reflecting Brent Regan's comment to the current three LIDs proposed by the ESHD Board. I would like to know where he is getting his information stating the district is planning 24 more involuntary LIDs - this is wrong information; in addition, to Mr. Regan claiming he was involved with a voluntary LID.

For the record the district has never formed an LID - again this is inaccurate information. In 2004, Mr. Regan had no problem with the district when processing a vacation/abandonment for his private airstrip off Borley Road. If things benefit Mr. Regan for personal purposes he has no problem with the district, but when proposed benefit is on a bigger scale, it is a different story.

So, Mr. Regan, if you are going to write something in the paper, please try to get your story straight.

When voting on May 17, please vote for the candidate with truthful facts.
