CDA: Powers for the people

Stephanie Powers is a woman of action, involvement and dedication. She has been an active member and/or an officer of Elementary, Middle and High School Parent Teacher Organizations. As a Director of the week-long ArtShop program sponsored by Citizens Council for the Arts in collaboration with Coeur d'Alene School District No. 271, her vision expanded the program and provided the opportunity for 250-300 students per year to pursue interests in the visual and performing arts.

Stephanie takes responsibility for being educated about and actively involved in every organization in which she participates. As President of EXCEL Foundation Inc. she provided fiscal management to update the bylaws and the financial funding formula of Endowed funds to provide Grant Award opportunities for Cd'A SD No. 271 Teachers; to establish long-term fundraising goals; and to lead the "No Moose Left Behind" Community Art Project during the summer of 2004. Her efforts and leadership skills with the EXCEL Foundation Board of Directors and community volunteers resulted in more than $400,000 for the EXCEL Foundation Inc. Endowment.

Stephanie Powers will be an excellent representative of the people on the Coeur d'Alene School District No. 271 School Board as Trustee for Zone 2. Vote for Stephanie Powers on May 17!
