Heidie Lee Wohlmacher, 31
Sadly, our ray of sunshine Heidie Lee Wohlmacher passed away April, 30, 2011, in Cul de Sac. Heidie came into our lives born on Aug. 6, 1979, she has always been loved and adored by many.
She graduated early from Santana High School in Santee, Calif., in 1997. She attended medical ROP classes and worked in Home Medical care. She not only helped many people who were homebound, she brightened their lives in a way, only Heidie could. Also, she was adored by countless children when she worked at Milam Elementary School, as a Playground Supervisor.
Heidie was unforgettable, the life of the party, made friends in an instant, an animal lover, orchid grower, spiritual, poetic, kind and generous. She loved the outdoors, she was adventurous, she like traveling, she enjoyed riding horses and swimming. She collected traditional English china, fairies, gnomes and butterflies true to her whimsical nature.
The thing she loved most was being a Mom. She had the gift to truly live in the moment: dropping everything to whip up some slime with her son in the middle of the day.
She was born and raised in San Diego, Calif., had lived in El Paso, Texas, and she had recently moved to the Northwest.
She is survived by her son, Riley Farris; ex-husband David Farris; current husband Henry Steffey; mother-in-law Carmen Steffey; mother and father, Mark and Sally Wohlmacher; sister Hollie Collins; brother-in-law Josh Collins; niece Chloe Collins; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Her memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, in the Chapel at The Community United Methodist Church, 1470 West Hanley Ave., Coeur d'Alene.
