CDA: Time for spring cleaning
"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes - and ships and sealing-wax - Of cabbages - and kings."
Yes, the time has come to talk and to act on many other things. Like "Spring Cleaning" locally elected school board positions that are so rusty and dusty, people who hold these positions think they own them. District 271 is in dire need of a good cleaning. Zone 2 and Zone 3 both have seats open on the Board of Trustees.
I and many others highly recommend two candidates for these two positions. Tom Hamilton for Zone 2; Terri Seymour for Zone 3. Tom is a local businessman and manager. He knows how to work with people and understands the function of business. His children are still in school.
Terri Seymour, born and raised in Idaho, already manages a large carpet business in Cd'A and is backed up with 35 years of business experience. She knows how to budget and set priorities and work with the public. Something that is lacking on the present board. Terri has two children still in school and has a vested interest in education just as you and all other parents do. Neither candidate is encumbered with obligations to any outside source nor will they put themselves in that situation. It takes your vote to make the changes needed. Go to the polls and vote on May 17 or vote absentee until May 13 at the Elections Office, 1803 N. Third, Cd'A. This is the only way to keep your neighbor from voting for you.
