SCHOOLS: Vote yes on 274 levy

To all residents in Kootenai Joint School District No. 274, I urge you to vote YES on our upcoming school levy May 17.

I realize some/most of you may not have children in school, and with the economy this may not be the best time, but what we have to remember is these children are our most precious commodity. We as a nation have already burdened them. How can we expect them to tackle their futures if we don't help them with their basic education?

One of the reasons we moved out here from Coeur d'Alene was the small school system. We didn't want our children to be just a number. What we have realized since is not only are they not just a number, neither are we. In the few years we've lived here I cannot count the times this community has rallied to help one of their own. I'm asking you to please step up to the plate again.

Our children will already be affected by state and federal budget cuts this coming year. With your help, a YES vote on May 17, we can keep the tradition that is the Harrison community alive and well.
