LAWS: Protecting Idaho sex offenders
If it would be of interest to the public, we would like to share an alarming reality about the laws in Idaho regarding registered sex offenders and their legal right to have children living in their home; they also have the right to be on elementary school campuses as long as they are there for a relative (even if the victims are relatives).
This fact has been reiterated to us by CPS, ISP, PFPD and Oasis, all of which say that nothing can be done to protect this child (who happens to be my daughter) from this living situation. (All of the individuals involved with these organizations are sympathetic but unable to act due to their obligation to adhere to what they refer to as "The Big Book.")
Aside from my own horror and inability to do anything about this issue, I am guessing that if citizens were aware of this they would have something to say. As my only recourse at this point, I look forward to a more detailed discussion about the extremely dangerous and OUTRAGEOUS situations that result from laws that enable sex offenders to live and be around children.
