POST FALLS - A cracked sewer pipe reported on Thursday in the Highlands area of Post Falls caused a spill of roughly 900 gallons of wastewater, according to the city of Post Falls.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, city officials said there are no concerns about public health or safety. Repairs to the broken pipe were completed Friday.
"The water is safe and there is no need for the public to take special precautions at this time," the release states.
The pipe cracked at the intersection of Dundee and McDonald Court. The affected areas were immediately disinfected with bleach, city officials said.
