Plummer murder suspects arraigned

Four suspects charged with the April 17 murder of Antowny D. Swiney appeared Monday at the Benewah County Courthouse in St. Maries.

Irael S. Kennedy, 21, Stephen R. Milton, 22, Kelly A. Miller, 40, and Jody A. Miller, 40 - all from the Spokane area - appeared before Magistrate Patrick McFadden. All four are charged with first-degree murder. Kelly Miller's bail was reduced to $200,000, Benewah County Prosecutor Douglas Payne said. It was originally $500,000.

Swiney, 37, was found stabbed to death at a home on the south side of Plummer. The suspects were arrested by Spokane County sheriff's deputies on April 17, hours after the death.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, May 23.
