Home Building and Remodeling Expo is Wednesday

COEUR d'ALENE - Ready to build that deck, install those new windows or landscape the front yard?

Just in time for spring projects, the 2011 Home Building and Remodeling Expo takes place Wednesday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Convention Center.

The free event runs from 4-7 p.m.

A wide variety of home improvement vendors, builders and experts will showcase their products and services.

"Everything from granite to flooring to landscaping," said event coordinator Andreas John. "This is our fourth annual show. It's nice having that longevity."

Drop in to browse the newest products or chat with experienced pros. Check out cabinets, stonework, brickwork, painting supplies, garden materials and the latest in kitchen and bath design.

"If you're looking to work on a project this year, you can get ideas, (and) you can talk to the professionals themselves," John said.

All visitors will be entered to win a $400 Resort gift card. Other prizes and goodies will also be doled out.

Gourmet hors d'oeuvres will be served throughout the evening, and parking at the resort is free for the expo.

"The show's always drawn a good crowd," John said. "It's usually one of our best shows. I could see having a great turnout this year."
