GATED: Locked in or locked up?

In response to Donna Harvey's letter regarding GATES. I agree completely. We refer to those fenced, gated communities as "Mini Prisons." That's pretty much what they resemble. The fences block the residents' views, and I see no purpose in them other than keeping the fencing companies in business. The people who are moving to Idaho are bringing their big city mentality with them. They enjoy the view of the fences.
