WARS: No offense, but we can't win one
Football fans sometimes hold up a small plastic fence with a big "D" on it while simultaneously exhorting their team to play defense to thwart the other team's offense.
Meanwhile, in Washington, "D".C., the politicians have spent trillions of dollars not winning wars - from the Korean non-declared war, to the Cold War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf wars, the Bosnomuslim War, Iraq/Afghanistan wars, the Libyan whatever-it-is, to only God knows what wars are up their sleeves. We haven't won a war since the cabinet position was changed from Secretary of War to "D"efense.
I suggest that while the Secretary of "D"efense is on the payroll, he be required to wear a rainbow wig, go shirtless, have beer and hot dog breath and have his face painted the color of American blood.
To mix Patton and Lombardi quotes, "Only play to win and let the other guy die for his Country."
