RESPONSE: Letters miss intended marks

| June 19, 2011 10:00 PM

Responding to both Mary Murdock and Jeff Langford's letters, I have some issues. First, Ms. Murdock, President Obama never claimed that he was going to declare martial law, suspend the Constitution and take our guns from us. Therefore, you need to do some research on what "projection" means in psychology: A human psychological failure to accept personal responsibility for one's own failures and therefore "projects" those personal failures onto others.

As for Mr. Langford, if in a few sentences he had said that Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) had engaged in particularly childish behavior by tweeting photographs of his unmentionables to a woman he'd never met, not even I would have cause to object to such a letter. However, and rather unfortunately, Mr. Langford goes on to subject the rest of us with his own embarrassing display of childish behavior. There is a definite reason to object to that.
