STATUE: Corner no place for gods

| June 17, 2011 10:00 PM

Sholeh, our mayor, the Human Rights folks, Unity Church and others are supporting the extraordinarily ugly Hindu god that adorns (?) Sherman Avenue. They claim it is Politically Correct to exhibit it in the interest of fairness, peace and such. I beg to differ, based on simple facts.

Hindus are regularly killing, raping, burning schools and churches, forcing conversion, and generally persecuting at an increasing rate in many states in India. The religion is hateful, vicious, and hardly represents peace, fairness or any form of human rights.

If a neo-Nazi hate group was to erect a statue of Hitler standing on the head of a Jewish baby, it would represent the same degree of fairness, peace and human rights.

This Hindu statue is a direct, in-your-face slur to all Christians and all who truly care about fairness, peace and human rights.

Those who fail to understand the world we live in, fail to help the world we live.
