VOTING: Like Ike, not Mike
I moved to your great city, Coeur d'Alene, in February 2009 from the Spokane area. I have followed the politics in Coeur d'Alene ever since I voted for Dwight Eisenhower in 1952. Ike was a hero to me in the world by seeing to it that we won the European Victory in World War II.
The Reagan Republicans worked hard for the election of Tom Hamilton and Terri Seymour for Trustee of the Coeur d'Alene School Board.
It was stated in the school board election that the subject of the Aryan Nations was brought up about Tom Hamilton and Terri Seymour using the same Post Office box for their campaign that the Aryan Nations used as their P.O. Box address 20 years ago.
My question is how can a City Councilman, Mike Kennedy, bring up this issue in the election for the two future Trustees of our great school system who were elected by a good majority of our voters?
I feel Mike Kennedy, City Councilman, brought up this issue and needs to apologize to Tom Hamilton and Terri Seymour and the people of the city of Coeur d'Alene and Kootenai County for bringing the Aryan Nations name back in to our community. My wife and I and our two votes for Mike Kennedy in his election, not knowing if he was a Republican or a Democrat, gave him a 5-vote margin instead of a 1-vote margin.
