BOARD: Legal versus ethical

"It's my seat that's being filled, and I really have an interest that someone who thinks close to I think takes my seat." First of all, Ms. Brooks, it is not "your" seat, it is a seat on the Coeur d'Alene School District Board and belongs to the voters to fill as they see fit. It is unfortunate that you played your little game and chose to announce your resignation two days after the election. You stated your reason for resignation was due to your husband's poor health, and I am sorry that he has had problems but his poor health did not happen overnight. It would seem your reason is more tied to the loss of two seats filled by members who think like you do thereby possibly losing some of your power with the school board. Let's not give the voters a chance to elect someone who does not think like you, for your position who may reflect the will of the people. You end by stating that "everything we are doing is legal." That may be true but is it right?
