THANKS: Campaign was eye-opener

| June 1, 2011 10:00 PM

I want to thank everyone who helped with my campaign. I very much appreciate your support and help. You were all wonderful. None of us had run a campaign before and ours was a grassroots effort.

I also want to thank Cliff Hayes, the Election Office and all of the poll workers for doing an excellent job.

I won sub-district one but lost in the Harrison area. This was due to misinformed people being led by my opponent's friend. She ran a campaign not of facts and truth but rather belittling, half truths and smear tactics against me. I feel sorry for the people who she distorted the truth to and mislead.

I believe that we will forever change the face of East Side Highway District and I will continue to be a watchful eye.

Our fight is not over but rather is just beginning. I will work to change legislation pertaining to the LIDs in order to protect the people of Idaho from possible future abuse of these laws.

There is much that needs to be done in order to make our government right again. The Highway District is just the beginning. We can make a difference.

Thank all you who voted for me and were willing to give me the opportunity to serve you. For those of you who did not vote on Tuesday, May 17 all I can say is every vote does count. I know there are more than five people who would have voted for me (I have the list) but did not go out and vote. Please vote in future elections. Every vote truly does count.
