Lindly (Dale) Elmore, 78

| July 20, 2011 10:00 PM

Dale Elmore passed away on July 15, 2011, at Hearthstone Assisted Living in Post Falls, at the age of 78. He was born to James and Mary Elmore in Spearfish, S.D., on May 18, 1933, where the family owned and operated a farm. Dale married Bobette Pizer in 1978, raised a daughter Joy Christina. Joy's life ended on Sept. 4, 1997 in a car accident. Bobette suffered from diabetes, which claimed her life in 2003.

Parents James and Mary, four brothers: James Francis, Walter Jacob, Paul Duane, John Kenneth; four sisters: Laura Hass, Beverly Johnson, Lorraine Kenter and Joann Holliman preceded Dale in passing. Survived by David Elmore, Spokane, Phllis Littlefield, Lynnwood, Wash., and Mrytle Kline of California, grandson Slade Galen, Casper, Wyo., many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his wonderful sense of humor and great laughter. Dale worked on the family farm; when leaving there he went to work for Bradley Engineering as a surveyor in Spearfish, S.D., later becoming a sub-contractor.

Dale took a great deal of pride in his work, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to all. He loved to watch television, read, do puzzles. When his eyesight failed, Dale turned to entertaining others with delightful stories about his life. We would like to thank Hearthstone for the wonderful care of our brother, and Hospice for all the help and care in his final days.

At the request of the family, no services will be held. A gathering will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the Saddle Sore, Stateline, ID, in memory of our beloved Dale. English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, was entrusted with the final arrangements.
