DEFICIT: Should be federal focus

I have a question on the country's deficit. Why is it the only solution they can ever come up with is to attack Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and the working class population to fix their screw-ups and overspending?

I would think it's about time the government reps give up some of their outrageous PERKS, WAGES and BONUSES, which should be frozen until this deficit nightmare is solved!

There should also be a change in foreign aid; it should be cut or stopped along with supporting illegal aliens in this country.

I am not against helping overseas populations but only after we have taken care of our own hungry, homeless and sick.

Maybe if the government would focus on these situations instead of what people should eat, drink or what kind of light bulbs people buy and use they would have time to work on the deficit.

I for one am really getting sick of having the government in my home and car. Soon they will be in my bedroom and bathroom.

Thank the Lord my kids are all raised so they don't have to do that. We as parents raised them and believe it or not they are healthy adults and not one of them wound up in prison - can't believe we did it without the government's help. DUH!
