PARADE: You've gotta be kidding
In response to Chris LeBlanc's letter on the Kiddies Parade. Obviously you are new to this town and I for one would like you to go back to where you came from. To enlighten a mind that obviously is lacking any common sense, the 40-minute Kiddies Parade has been around since before time.
It leads up to the annual Fourth of July celebration and is always a positive uplifting experience for participants and spectators.
It blocks the intersections for less than an hour. The fact that you think your caffeine high is more important than a kids parade says a lot about you. I am sure you could have found a place to park a few blocks away and walked to get your coffee.
As for the downtown impact, many of those that participated in the Kiddies Parade frequented the downtown businesses after, including Bakery by the Lake. Finally I think the only thing that needs to be scrutinized is ridiculous, moronic letters like yours sent to the Coeur d'Alene Press.
