IRONMAN: Kudos to the community

To the citizens of the Coeur d'Alene area: Thank you so much for your hospitality during the Ironman event. The volunteers and supporters over the entire 140.6-mile course was beyond belief. After I finished I had to take my family through some of the run course areas to witness the energy supplied by the residents.

I fully realize the impact it has on many of you who have absolutely no interest in the event and are greatly impacted by the traffic delays. I can only hope the impact is partly offset by the revenue brought to your area by us and our families.

You have a beautiful area and a community to be very proud of!
