Roger Forest Liebe, 67

Roger Forest Liebe, 67, of Texasville, Ala., passed away Jan. 29, 2011, at his residence. He was born Jan. 29, 1944, in Coeur d'Alene, to Forest and Virginia (Brand) Liebe.

Mr. Liebe was a decorated war hero, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the Wolfhounds.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Liebe of Texasville; two stepdaughters, Yonna (Jamie) Cox of Munford, Ala., and April Cheeks of Fadette, Ala.; one son-in-law, Brooke Carter of Eufaula, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Michael Cheeks and BreAnna Cox both of Munford, Brittney (Jason) Oliver, Alexandra O'Connor both of Welborn, Ala., Joshua Bowman, Makyla Bowman, Noah Carter all of Fadette; one great-grandchild, Amelia Oliver of Welborn; one half-sister, Geraldine Earling of Idaho; one half-brother, Forest "Woody" Liebe of Idaho.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula, Ala. The reverend Steven Hammon officiated.
