| January 31, 2011 1:22 PM

Marilyn Jean (Wisti Sollid Simchuk Hanson) Roberge was born July 28, 1945, in Houghton, Mich., and received her angel's wings at home in Rathdrum on Jan. 27, 2011, at age 65.

After attending school at Dishman Grade School, West Valley High School and Lewis & Clark High School, she graduated in Spokane Valley in 1963 from Central Valley High School.

Marilyn spent much of her life creating assorted hand crafts. She enjoyed the hard work involved with tilling and planting her flower and vegetable gardens and the tending of her animals that she loved.

The peaceful solitude she had created in her park like setting allowed her to pursue her photography and writing interests.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Rodolphe Roberge; and her loving children, Jerry and Kate Simchuk, Aileen and Dave Manuszak, Jeffrey Hanson and Greg Hanson.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Wisti; her mother, Anne Seidel Sollid and her adoptive father, Lars Sollid.

Memorial services for Marilyn will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at The Hayden Church of God located at 910 West Hayden Ave., Hayden.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
