Three acts to perform with Coeur d'Alene Symphony

An Dóchas, the Haran Irish Dancers and singer Michael Londra will join the Coeur d’Alene Symphony on stage at 2 p.m. Saturday for a unique Irish music and dance show.

Using traditional Irish and brilliant original music to accompany explosive Irish step dancing, this music and dance group provides an energetic and uplifting performance appealing to persons of all ages and musical preferences.

Audiences can expect to be mesmerized by a slow, light shoe dance one moment, dazzled by a fastpaced hard shoe movement the next and then be singing along with a traditional Irish pub song.

An Dóchas, Gaelic for “The Hope” — With a foundation of authentic instrumentation — Uileann pipes, bodhran, fiddle, mandolin and guitar — the band blends new and old, elegantly incorporating contemporary sounds into their diverse repertoire.

The Haran Irish Dancers have been performing for over a decade in America, Austria, and Japan, with multiple appearances at the Irish Step Dancing World Championships.

Michael Londra is a singer from Wexford, Ireland.

The concert will be at Lake City Community Church. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $5 for students and children.
