Post Falls tops 5A wrestling poll

Post Falls jumped past Columbia High to take over the top spot in the 5A wrestling rankings, released Wednesday.

James Ost (135 pounds) is the top-ranked wrestler in his weight class for Post Falls, with Mitch Craine (112) and Tyler Booth (140) second and Austin Wilson (145) and Nathan McLeod (152) third in the statewide power rankings.

Rankings combine all four classes from 5A to 2A.

Coeur d'Alene, ranked eighth in this week's poll, travels to Post Falls tonight at 7 p.m. for a 5A Inland Empire League dual at the Arena.

Garrett DeMers (171), Caleb Davis (189) are third and Kenny Staub (140) is fourth in the state rankings for Coeur d'Alene.
