WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Raul Labrador has been appointed vice-chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Homeland Defense and Foreign Operations of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

The subcommittee has wide oversight jurisdiction of executive branch agencies, particularly those involving the military and domestic and border security.

Two grand theft suspects sought

Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of two people suspected of grand theft.

Between Dec. 1 and Dec. 3, the suspects, a man and a woman, stole credit card information from victims and used it to re-load Visa gift cards that were purchased from a Safeway supermarket in Coeur d'Alene. The two used the gift cards to purchase $2,500 worth of items from area businesses.

Police have surveillance camera photos of the two taken at the Safeway, 1001 N. Fourth St. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest at 667-2111, or toll free at (800) 222-TIPS. Callers are asked to use a code name or number and do not have to use their own name.
