Mexico hasn't returned triple-murder suspect

BOISE (AP) - Officials said it could be two to three years before authorities in Mexico deliver to Idaho a man accused of a triple-murder.

Elmore County Prosecutor Kristina Schindele said that FBI officials tell her that's how long it could be before Jorge Orozco is extradited to Idaho.

FBI officials said they believe Orozco is still in custody in Mexico, and a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Justice said the agency is doing everything in its power to make the extradition happen.

Orozco, who was once on the FBI's list of most-wanted fugitives, is charged in Elmore County with three counts of first-degree murder.

Law enforcement agents said Orozco killed Rebecca Ramirez and her sons, ages 2 and 4, in 2002, then burned their bodies in the southern Idaho desert.
