Broncos left feeling Utah State's Pane

Brockeith Pane scored 19 points to lead Utah State to a 68-59 victory over Boise State on Thursday night at Boise.

Utah State (15-2, 4-0 WAC) won its 18th consecutive conference game, including eight straight on the road.

Boise State (11-6, 4-1), which entered the game off to its best start in conference play since joining the WAC in 2001, was led by Robert Arnold with 20 points.

San Jose State 79, Louisiana Tech 74: At Ruston, La., Keith Shamburger scored 21 points, including nine straight during a key stretch late, for San Jose State (9-7, 1-4) in a win over Louisiana Tech (9-9, 3-1 Western Athletic Conference).

New Mexico State 82, Hawaii 64: At Las Cruces, N.M., Troy Gillenwater and Hernst Laroche scored 13 points each to help New Mexico State (9-9, 3-1 WAC) beat Hawaii (9-8, 0-5).

Stanford 58, No. 17 Washington 56: At Stanford, Calif., Josh Owens scored the go-ahead basket on a left-handed tip-in with 29 seconds left and Stanford (10-5, 3-1) stunned the Huskies (12-4, 4-1 Pac-10) to stay unbeaten in Maples Pavilion this season.

Scott Suggs missed a baseline 3-pointer moments later for Washington after he knocked down a tying 3 with 1:08 left. Stanford's Jeremy Green was whistled for a foul against Justin Holiday on the rebound, but Holiday missed both free throws with 2.5 seconds on the clock.

Oregon 68, Southern California 62: At Eugene, Ore., Johnathan Loyd scored 12 points and Oregon (8-9, 1-4 Pac-10) held on after nearly blowing all of a 20-point lead in the second half to beat USC (10-7, 2-2) on opening night of Matthew Knight Arena.

UCLA 62, Oregon State 57: At Corvallis, Ore., UCLA blew a 17-point second-half lead, then scored the game's final seven points to defeat Oregon State (7-9, 2-3).

Lazeric Jones and Reeves Nelson had 13 points each for the Bruins (10-6, 2-2 Pac-10), who led 47-30 after Nelson's basket with 15:57 remaining.

Saint Mary's 71, San Francisco 57: At Moraga, Calif., Mickey McConnell scored 19 points as Saint Mary's (15-2, 3-0) beat San Francisco (7-10, 1-1 WCC).

Santa Clara 61, San Diego 52: At San Diego, Kevin Foster scored 15 points and Santa Clara (10-8, 1-1) beat San Diego (3-14, 0-3 West Coast Conference).
