Michael Forrest Barron, 64

Loving father of two, husband of one, Michael was an adventurous, kind hearted, generous and determined man full of the zest for life. He and his wife reside in Craig, Alaska, and have spent recent winters in Coeur d'Alene, their former hometown, as a base to be with family and travel the world.

Michael and Linda were married in 1968 then served the Peace Corps in Chile, Colo. Michael graduated from Colo. State U. and Gonzaga Law School. He worked in forest and law related management positions. They lived in Chile, Oregon, Idaho, Washington and Alaska. Perusing his love of architecture, he designed and built his dream in Alaska.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Barron; son Troy Barron; Troy and Sherry's daughters: Lisa, Polly, Naomi and Jane Barron, all of Alabama; daughter Sarah Barron of Coeur d'Alene; sister Paula Bailey of Kansas; and many relatives and friends.

"We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." - 2 Cor. 5:7.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations go to Gideons International or American Bible Society.
