Parson to speak at NIC luncheon

North Idaho College Booster Club president Jon Parson will be the guest speaker at the NIC Booster Club Luncheon at noon Tuesday at the Outback Steakhouse in Coeur d'Alene.

Parson will provide an update on the NJCAA wrestling championships on Feb. 25-26. In addition, coaches of NIC winter sports will provide reports on their seasons.

The public is welcome to attend the meeting. The cost of lunch is not covered.

Dillon added to Shock roster

SPOKANE - Wide receiver Charles Dillon has been added to the Spokane Shock 2011 roster.

In another roster move, Spokane placed wide receiver DJ Hall on re-assignment.

Dillon, 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, helped the Shock capture the 2009 ArenaCup championship, recording 89 receptions for 1,078 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Last season, Dillon earned a roster spot with the Green Bay Packers during training camp, collecting eight receptions for 99 yards in the preseason before he was released.

Prior to his professional career, Dillon had 52 receptions for 526 yards and four touchdowns at Washington State.
