Reid helps Chiefs blank Hurricanes

SPOKANE - Dominik Uher, Blake Gal and Kenton Miller each had a goal and assist as the Spokane Chiefs defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-0 in front of 5,423 in Western Hockey League action at the Spokane Arena on Friday night.

Spokane, which won its fifth straight, scored three goals in the second period as former Coeur d'Alene Laker Tyler Johnson scored his 28th goal of the season 28 seconds into the period. Uher and Miller added goals in the period.

Gal, Anthony Bardaro and Mitch Holmberg capped the scoring in a three-goal third period for Spokane (23-10-3-2, 51 points), which hosts Everett tonight at 7.

James Reid had 21 saves in his fourth shutout of the season for Spokane. Reid now moves into second place in team history with 13 career shutouts.
