Concert to benefit food banks

COEUR d'ALENE - A concert will benefit area food banks and nonprofits on Friday at Candlelight Christian Fellowship, 5725 N. Pioneer Dr., from 6-8 p.m. in Coeur d'Alene.

The Canyon River Band, which plays music from a variety of genres, will perform. Band members include David James, Lynette Ferguson, Les Portner and Skip Berquam, all current or retired school superintendents in the region.

Cost is $5 per person or five cans of food. Agencies to benefit include Community Action Partnership, the Post Falls, Rathdrum, Kellogg and Bonners Ferry food banks, Project Safe Place and Family Promise.
