Sandra L. Pearson Blessing, 65

Sept. 24, 1945 - Jan. 2, 2011

Sandy passed into the arms of God following a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by her husband Jim Blessing and her much loved son Jerry Grytness.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy and Jenny and son Mike. She is also survived by six brothers, Denny, Tom, Rick, Brad, Jeff and Jim; two sisters, Janice and Denise; five grandchildren, Steffan, Shafer, Shane, Sydney and Chase and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Connor. She'll be missed by her dear friend Bill Norcross.

Sandy was born in Spokane and was a Spokane resident for most of her 65 years. She enjoyed raft racing in the Spokane River in her younger years. She liked to crochet and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at Valley Hospital and Medical Center who cared for her in her last days.

Viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Spokane Cremation and Burial at 2832 North Ruby St., Spokane, Wash., (509) 324-9375.

Services to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, N. 4521 Arden Road, Otis Orchards, Wash. Reception will follow.
