SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Kiki Edwards-Teasley scored 18 points to lead the 25th-ranked North Idaho Cardinals past the Scottsdale Fighting Artichokes 85-34 to conclude the nonconference portion of their women's basketball schedule.

"We came out and played our game like we have since the end of the Christmas break," NIC coach Chris Carlson said. "Korina (Baker) got us off to a good start and Kiki was tough around the basket for us tonight."

Tugce Canitez had 13 points, Kama Griffitts 12, Baker 11 and Chantel Divilbiss 10 to round out the scorers in double figures for NIC (14-2), which was ranked third in the previous poll, released Dec. 8.

"I am real pleased with all of our efforts since we came back from Christmas break," Carlson said. "It should be outstanding basketball in the SWAC these next two months."

NIC faces 18th-ranked Southern Idaho on Saturday in Twin Falls.
