Mellissa E. Prosser-Loomis

Mellissa was born to James and Elsa Prosser in April 1924.

Mellissa attended Coeur d'Alene North Idaho Community College taking Pre-Med and was class president. Mellissa worked in Spokane at the Galina Airbase following college. Mellissa married John Loomis and lived in Ephrata, Wash., until 1977. Mellissa moved back to Coeur d'Alene and worked for Panhandle Health taking care of the elderly in her community.

For the past 10 years Mellissa lived mostly in Cathedral City, Calif. Mellissa enjoyed walking, her grandchildren and taking cruises in her retirement.

Mellissa is survived by her three children, son John Loomis and wife Linda of Quincy, Wash., daughters Becky Loomis of Moses Lake, Wash., and Christine Atterberry and husband Jesse of Cathedral City, Calif.; one sister, Ivy Mae Irons and husband Wayne and sister-in-law Darline Prosser of Coeur d'Alene. Mellissa had seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mellissa was preceded in death by husband John Loomis, two brothers and two sisters.

Mellissa lived her life as a deeply devoted Christian woman and will be missed greatly by her family and friends whose lives she touched.
