EWU drops 13th straight on road

SEATTLE - Alex Jones tied his season high with 21 points, and Seattle kept Eastern Washington off the scoreboard for the final 4:07 Thursday night, winning the nonconference game 60-51.

Aaron Broussard added 15 points and Gavin Gilmore 10 for the Redhawks (6-11).

Kevin Winford led the Eagles (4-10) with 11 points, and Tremayne Johnson had 10. Leading scorer Jeffrey Forbes, who averages 13.6, was limited to six.

It was the second meeting in three weeks between the cross-state rivals. Eastern Washington scored a 95-91 home victory Dec. 15.

The Eagles lost their 13th straight road game. They have not won on the road since a 75-73 victory at Montana State on Jan. 10. Eastern travels to Portland State on Saturday.
