Voice training and music education part of the benefits of Coeur d'Alene Chorus

The Coeur d'Alene Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is searching for women singers in the North Idaho area. Women of all ages who enjoy singing are invited to attend the chorus' weekly rehearsals at 7 p.m. on Mondays at the Coeur d'Alene Assembly of God Church, 2200 N. 7th St., Coeur d'Alene.

The Coeur d'Alene Chorus is one of the hundreds of Sweet Adelines International choruses that make up this worldwide organization of women who sing four-part barbershop harmony.

The Coeur d'Alene Chorus offers ongoing music education, countless opportunities for creativity, fun, friendship and plenty of singing. Members range in age from teens to their 70s and come from all over the area including Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Post Falls, Rathdrum, Athol, Sandpoint and Kingston.

The ability to read music is not required to join - voice training and music education are valuable components of member's benefits. Any woman of average singing ability, with or without vocal training, will find a part that fits her voice range. The Coeur d'Alene Chorus performs regularly throughout the community, offering its talent for entertainment at civic events and charitable functions, in addition to promoting harmony and friendship among women.
