Clark Fork grinds past Lakeside

CLARK FORK — Brocklynn Thornton had 10 points and 13 rebounds as the Clark Fork Wampus Cats defeated the Lakeside Knights 39-34 in a North Star League game on Wednesday night.

“We played with a little better control and didn’t turn the ball over as much,” Clark Fork coach Dexter Vogel said. “We kept our composure at the end and pulled out a victory.”

Joelle Miller scored 13 points for Lakeside (7-3, 1-1 NSL) which hosts Lakeside on Friday.

Dimi Kailang scored 11 points for Clark Fork (5-5, 1-1).

MULLAN — Morgan Koenig had 19 points and 13 rebounds as the Tigers (3-6) defeated the Post Falls freshman team in a nonleague game at the Mullan Pavilion.

Breezy Arnone and Michelle Waller had 13 points each for Post Falls.

Nikki Axtman scored 14 points for Mullan, which travels to Clark Fork on Tuesday.
