SWIMMING

The Coeur d'Alene Area Swim Team hosted its second home meet Dec. 10-12 at the Ray and Joan Kroc Center, bringing in over 300 swimmers from Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

The CAST Crocs had over 100 swimmers and a host of best times to go along with four first-time meet participants: Colby Bernhart, Garrett Moody, Grant Moody, and Kaleigh Spears.

High-point winners from Coeur d'Alene for their age groups included Caleb Markowski, Cole Curtis, Nicole Rozier, Peyton Bowen and Patrick Loftus.

Twelve Crocs dropped time in every event over the course of the weekend: Ryan Costin, Alex de Tar, Michael Dooley, Alisa Felshaw, Isabelle England, Zoe Gephart, Katy Gribbin, Sara Kaitz, Josh Lyon, Hope McWilliams, John Randall and Mackensie Savage.

Coeur d'Alene handily won the meet, outdistancing the Spokane Waves and the Spokane Area swim teams.

CAST's next home meet will be the Inland Empire Short Course Championships at the Kroc Center Feb. 25-27.
