Griffitts, Canitez lead NIC women to easy victory

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Sophomore Kama Griffitts scored 19 points as the third-ranked North Idaho College Cardinals rolled past the winless Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes 99-37 in a nonconference women's basketball game on Tuesday.

Tugce Canitez had 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals for NIC (13-2), which travels to Scottsdale College on Thursday for its final nonconference game of the year.

NIC returns to Scenic West Athletic Conference play on Saturday against Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.

Chandler-Gilbert drops to 0-13.
